16:8 at St. Michael's
Begin With Us
There is brokenness all around us: in our families, in sickness, in grief, and in the burdens we sometimes carry silently. At St. Michael & All Angels, we want to bring those burdens to God together.
Inspired by 1 Chronicles 16:8, which calls us to give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, and make His deeds known, 16:8 at St. Michael's invites our parish into a shared commitment to prayer, faith, and sacrifice.
- 1 Chronicles 16:8 -
Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds.
We will begin on the first Wednesday of Advent with a special blessing of the candles. Bring your candle and join us as we begin this journey together.

168 Hours in Every Week
There are 168 hours in every week. This initiative reminds us to make room for God within those hours: to lift up our intentions, pray for one another, and unite our everyday crosses with Christ.

A Light in the Darkness
Our candles will serve as a visible reminder of that commitment and of Christ's light in the midst of darkness. Weekly reflections will help us persevere in prayer, grow in trust, and offer small sacrifices for the intentions we hold close to our hearts.

Prayer, Faith & Sacrifice
A shared commitment, lived out in the ordinary days of the week and offered together as one parish family.

We Believe
We believe God hears our prayers. We believe miracles can and do happen.
We hold strong to the faith that God listens to our prayers. Miracles are real and happen every day. We seek healing and trust in His perfect timing and presence during our challenges.
